SITE MANAGEMENT SAFETY TRAINING SCHEME - 5 DAYS

WHO THE TRAINING IS INTENDED FOR:
For any person who is involved in the planning and running of a contract
from the Contracts Manager and Site Agent through to the Management
Trainee.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
To provide a course which will assist management personnel to develop an understanding of their responsibility and accountability for site
safety, health and welfare and to recognise that a safe site is efficient, economic and productive.
1. Bring course members up to date with current legislation and standards affecting the management and organisation of construction
sites.
2. Assist course members in examining the extent of their safety, health and welfare responsibilities at work.
3. Guide, assist and encourage course members to develop their knowledge and skill, beyond the existing course content.
4. Provide examples and opportunities for course members to study and analyse safety, health and welfare practices and procedures.
5. Provide a course which draws as much as possible on material of common interest and use to the course members as a whole.
6. Encourage members to develop a positive and forward thinking attitude to safety, health and welfare.
7. Emphasise and draw attention to the many examples where inefficiency and safety or health hazards are linked.
At the end of the course the delegates will have the ability and initiative to develop techniques and methods for dealing with future safety, health and welfare matters as part of the management team.
